Part of our international team here at Galakiwi, Dave spends most of his time at home in Canada, although he visits the Galapagos for a month or two every year.

Armed with a marketing and business background, Dave stumbled into the tourism industry in 2003. Looking for something more exciting and rewarding than a suit-wearing desk job, he has since travelled the world, visiting more than 50 countries across every continent except for Australia.

Dabbling in travel writing and photography, Dave was first drawn to the Galapagos Islands in January 2008. After working in the online and marketing world for a large tour operator for more than 7 years, he met Tim & Crystal in New Zealand in November 2010. At the time, Galakiwi didn't need much help in the way of online support, and Dave was busy working in Canada.

The next year that all changed, as he left the big travel business behind and happily joined the Galakiwi team, a tour company that shares his passion for wildlife, nature and the outdoors. Dave is the guy managing everything that Galakiwi does online, including our website, listings on partner sites and social media channels. He is often writing up dossiers and helping to create new tour ideas.
