Armed with a passion to show visitors the whole Galapagos experience, Crystal has spearheaded the Galakiwi push for supporting local businesses and community based tourism projects. Visiting a coffee farm in the highlands or bringing groups to dine with local friends is part of the reward of operating land-based tours in the Galapagos that go beyond admiring the amazing wildlife.
As part of the core Galakiwi team, Crystal takes care of managing a lot of the operational and logistical elements of running land-based adventure tours in the Galapagos Islands. Crystal, along with her husband Tim, work closely with the Galakiwi office team on San Cristobal Island to ensure all hotel and boat suppliers are also operating in a responsible, sustainable manner.
Usually based in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Crystal also manages the sales team that handles custom tour requests, student group bookings, partnership relations and general inquiries. You could say she is the glue that binds the whole Galakiwi tour experience together.
Outside the office, you may find Crystal and Tim chasing their daughters Everly, Ally and Kaiya around town.
